There are clients you work with every month, and there are clients who's needs are a bit more sporadic. Sarah Hong with Max Jeans is one of those clients, I worked with her in the summer of 2013 to shoot her spring and holiday collections and mini lookbooks, but other than the occasional retouching request we hadn't had a chance to collaborate again. Fast forward to Augus of this year. She had been on my mind, and I'd made a mental note to reach out to her when I heard her shouting my name over the usual din of traffic on 38th and 7th. She had a new project coming up and was interested in bringing me on to produce a new shoot. Over the next few weeks I had the pleasure of working with her and her incredible team which included the positive and impressively organized Katie Boyko as wardrobe stylist. I called on some old friends/familiar names at this point/crack team to round out the rest of the creative team: Ananda Khan and Julianna Grogan on hair and makeup respectively. Our two incredible models are Andrea Cronberg (who we had the priveledge to work with on the previous project) and Shelby Israel, both of Red Model Management. Here are some of my favorite images from the Fall 2014 lookbook.
Back in February in the midst of a pretty impressive snowstorm I worked with a wonderful team to photograph the Jordan Louis New York Fall 2014 collection. I'll be posting the full shoot and story behind the project soon, but for now here is what happens behind the scenes, because to a certain extent, if you're not having fun you're doing something wrong.

Designer: Jordan Louis New York

Rather than covering the shows during fashion week, as I have in the past, I spent the majority of that week attached to my computer retouching lookbooks that I will hopefully be sharing with you soon. The one time that I did get out to enjoy the particularly awful New York winter was to work as the house photographer for Glaze Menswear. You've seen in the previous post the full lookbook of this particularly beautiful collection by Jarrod Glaze, a talented young designer.
That same day after shooting the lookbook I covered the presentation for the designer and REP MODE, the designer's PR company. Here are some of my favorite images from the presentation. I hope you enjoy the shots and take a moment to check out the designer and his stunning collections.
Jarrod Glaze makes beautiful clothes, there's really no way around it, he's an elegant man who makes beautiful clothes. I first learned about the line when Florent Belda, the head of Rep Mode, put the two of us in touch. Jarrod was in need of a photographer and I happened to be free that particular Sunday during fashion week. I was thrilled to get the email because not only do I love any opportunity to shoot, but because after doing a little research into the designer, the line, and the visual direction of the brand I felt that we could be a good match and that I could help him. We shot the lookbook on the day of his presentation during New York Fashion Week, one by one as the different models were out of hair and makeup, dress and styled, they were sent downstairs from the backstage area to the room where the presentation was to be held so that we could shoot the lookbook.
